The Plume-RT modelling system was developed in 2002 as a tool for the oil and gas industry to predict ground-level SO₂ concentrations following the ignition of uncontrolled critical sour gas well releases in elevated terrain. The system has been enhanced to manage SO₂ during well test flaring, and pipeline or facility blowdown events. RWDI AIR Inc is continuously working with government regulators and industry to develop and enhance the Plume-RT modelling system to meet regulatory and industry requirements.
